Lucy Wordsworth is a physical performer living between Gloucester and London. She specialises in fight choreography, having been part of several theatre productions with organisations such as Grove Productions and Box Clever Theatre, as well as featuring in productions such as The Witcher: Blood Origin and with Marvel Studios. Lucy had always admired stunt doubles in films, keeping in the back of her mind ideas of acting. In 2014, The Action Emporium came to The Picturedrome (then Olympus Theatre) with Tom Jordan running a week-long intensive course on unarmed combat. Lucy was 18 and, until that point, wasn’t sure where to place all her energy. She fell in love with the world of physical performance here - she had perceived it as a male-dominated career, but the course made her feel like it was something she could pursue. Lucy says she now wants to start working with local playwrights again, on collaborative projects that shine a light on Gloucester. Lucy commented that ‘There are so many people in the arts in Gloucester, we need somewhere to meet and share ideas and skills - we need a house.’ She's currently touring with a production of Jekyll and Hyde, ending in Evesham.
